The living room looks like this when she is playing. She had all the educational toys that you could think of. She has the blocks that can motivate her psychomotor skills, the animal toys that would make her awareness of animal sounds, some musical instruments that would focus her appreciation of music. She loves to manipulate those toys and when I am around, I tried to introduce the colors, the shapes and what does it do. She is pretty good in stacking those blocks.
Kids love toys. Be creative in using those toys in educational application. Say the color, the shapes and introduce sounds . Repetition of words can really help.
Did you know that her mom bought a 36 pcs of flashcards good for 3 year olds and up and I introduced the pictures to her when she is having lunch and when she is playing. In less than a week, she can identify clearly 23 of them? Amazing for an 18months old right?
