Anonymous Not Anonymous Anymore

Today, I had an anonymous person/blogger that tried to hide from his/her name dzrk with IP Address 216.212.240.146 , a Filipino ( commented in Filipino language) living in Thomasville, Georgia. He/She left two messages in my cbox and two comments in my UMAC post. Filipino mocking another Filipino. For what? Well, this is her/his email add licklick@yahoo.com. I do not know what's the problem of dzrk but certainly, the behavior would suggest that this person got a real issue to address to. Dzrk's browser is Firefox and the OS is Windows Vista, gosh..thanks to the technology. I can now track the address, even used google earth with it.

Your comments remind me to extend my patience because anger would lead to nowhere. Mocking my personality won't make me feel bitter either because I understand that you are so SICK and needs to be understood. I hope you will find happiness because you certainly ARE NOT HAPPY with your life right now and my prayers goes for your FAST RECOVERY.

David and Claire were victims too. They had anonymous person who commented the same ill messages. What made me sad is that, dzrk is a Filipino. If only I had so much money, I can bring dzrk to the mental hospital and pay all the expenses. I do not want dzrk to suffer this INSANITY no more.

Holiday Cruise Terminal Trip

We went to Alabama, Thursday morning to pick up our family who went for a Cruise to Cozumel, Mexico via Holiday Cruise Ship. They all have fun and they brought with them exciting stories. My husband and I asked them if somebody fell down overboard because the last trip, someone was. Anyway, they just told us that a group of family can not locate their luggage. The staff of the ship made a flier informing the passengers to help them find the luggage. Well, that is really a hard vacation if you lost your luggage. My sister-in-law told me, there were Filipinos who work in the ship. In fact, their food server is a Filipino.
The cruise is a 4 night/5days trip to Mexico. When they were inland, tourists were not informed that they can not bring home anything/collection that is alive or once alive. Some tourists bought some local products for a remembrance. But, they can only bring one and forced to leave behind what they bought. Once you pay your trip ticket, you will be asked to pay a gratuity for $10/day per person. So, it will be charged to your card once the cruise is over. Only iced tea, coffee and lemonade are included in the ticket. So, when you drink wine and soft drinks, you have to pay extra for it and a bit expensive too. The cleanliness is amazing and excellent. The room is cleaned three times a day. The pictures above were taken on the way to the terminal and the front view of the terminal. More Pictures in my Photo Blog.

"Ikaw": Sung By A Choir Of Pardubice, CZech Republic

Having been away from my country, made me missed so many things. I missed talking using my own language; eating ripe yellow mangoes in summer time; dipping green mangoes in "bagoong" and having karaoke anytime with friends and family. Filipinos love to sing and as I was browsing to Filipino songs in You Tube and found this song which was sung by a foreign Glee Club, I was so happy. They are from the University Choir of Pardubice of the Czech Republic. They are singing an (OPM) Original Pilipino Music entitled 'Ikaw' (YOU) with the Ateneo College Glee Club. This is a song recorded while they are at the waiting room in Arezzo, Italy. Thanks to irvs14 for sharing this video. I love the arrangement.

Choose The iLasik Way

I talked to my friend who is in California today and she was telling me how she loves shopping for jewelry, clothes and contact lenses. Considering the value of these tiny contacts, she must be earning a fortune for pampering herself with these luxuries. It has kept me wondering, how could she not just choose the iLASIK way? The procedure of LASIK is painless and easy. The price is reasonable compared to the amount of money you spend on buying disposable contacts. Anyone can afford this surgery because the company can advise you on how to avail an option. The iLasik procedure is safe and highly recommended by their patients who take procedure. This procedure combines the Wave front mapping technology that has the two lasers for a safe and completely tailor-made procedure. With iLasik, there is nothing to worry because this is proven safe. A study was conducted to a 25 year old who wears an extended wear contacts. It was found out that she will likely to spend more than $20,000 on her contacts. With iLASIK, you can invest your vision and can save a lot of money. If you are interested, find an iLasik surgeon in your area and schedule for a free consultation. Make yourself comfortable with the procedure and you can discuss the financing option for that surgery. You will get your money's worth for iLasik procedure than buying contacts for life. Take this procedure now and save.

Was Not Paid!

Have you experienced having your URL change while you still have pending pay out? My URL for amy200686.blogspot.com was changed to amynobillos.com last June 10. I informed IZEA about this and they changed my blog URL into the new one. I have 21 pending pay out on my old URL. Today, I was supposed to get paid but, they did not and it was rejected maybe because the original post was redirected to my new URL. Have you got the same problem? Any thoughts on this please?

Happy Father's Day To All

For all the children who are blessed with a good and loving father, treasure the moment you have with your dad. Time is precious. Spend each moment by creating a fun memory that will last a lifetime.

This is a poem that is very close to my heart and served as an inspiration when I'm sad and longed for a father.

* Footprints of the Sand *

One night a man had a dream.

He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.

Scenes from his life flashed across the sky
and he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
one belonging to him and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life had flashed before him,
he recalled that at the lowest and saddest times of his life
there was only one set of footprints.

Dismayed, he asked, "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
I don't understand why, when I needed you most,
you would leave me."

The Lord replied, "My precious child.
I love you and I would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering
when you saw only one set of footprints...

That was when I carried you."

To Swat Or Not To Swat

Earlier, I watched the news showing a video of President Obama who SWATTED A FLY on his bare hand and killed it instantly. The news then saying that because of that incident, the PETA organization reacted on the action done by the President. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals or PETA is a non profit and the largest animal rights organization in the world with 2 million members and counting. Read through this article because it is pretty interesting {HERE}. The Media and "Others" made a hush on that incident. Let me know what you think about it. If a FLY pestering you, would you swat or not to swat?

On the other hand, PETA did not condemn President Obama instead, they sent the President a gift which they called humane bug catcher.

PETA's Mission includes:
  • promoting alternatives to eating animals;
  • opposing fur and products made from animal skin;
  • opposing laboratories that torment animals;
  • fighting the abuse of animals in circus training camps;

They point out that animals are not "Ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment".
This issue is very delicate for PETA because they support total compassion to animals and that includes The Famous FLY who is now dead. They just wish that people will act wisely and mercifully toward animals.

I will be honest with you guys, I did the same thing what the President did. The only difference was, it's not ON CAM and I was using the swatter. I hope PETA will not condemn me too. Sometimes I act and think later, part of my human nature.

Me and IZEA

I am very much happy and loyal with IZEA because since November, I was given so much opportunities. I had my blog since 2005 but, I never really imagine that blogging has money in it. Of course, you have to be 3 months active and at least have posted more than 20 to be able to join this company. I became active only last June of 2008. Yes! I know, what have I done with those 3 years huh?

For your guidance so you won't missed your chances, I am sharing you the company that I learned to love. IZEA company will offer opportunities to bloggers using PPP and SS and their company is in Orlando, Florida. This was introduced to me by COOKIE, a very good friend of mine who resides in the Philippines. For the last 3 months, I was just enjoying writing my personal posts and mostly places that I traveled. Then, by November, I guess I was thrilled with a $10 dollar offer and considered a blessing if I can make $5 /day. The rest was history.

I encountered problems too when it comes to catching an open opportunity. If your browser is not fast enough, you can't reserved an open opportunity. My posts luckily was all approved until March, when 2 of their personnel always turned down my posts with this famous line " too many grammatical errors". I encountered that in SS and so far I had 3 posts that was rejected. It was rejected after 3 attempts so, spellchecker and Microsoft word failed to help me. Charged to experienced LOL!

Another problem that I encountered with them was when they suspended my accounts in PPP for two weeks because they thought that I held the URL of my posts. I sent them my ticket informing them that I DID NOT do what I was accused of. They responded my ticket too late and the suspension was already lifted.

I still have issues with them and the ticket was still in progress. Anyway, was I happy with IZEA? Of course I am! That is why, I am encouraging you to please join IZEA Company. Just click the logo and join me here. Today, I received an email from PPP v.4 that an advertiser wanted me to write for his company. I logged in to my PPP v.4 account and I post the article and in 30 minutes, the advertiser approved it and ready for pay-out. That is really good right? You need not wait for opportunities. The advertiser will knocked on your blog and you will either accept it or reject it. Pretty cool right? What is your experience with IZEA? Share it here.

Advance Father's Day Celebration

I was so busy for the last few days because we are preparing for a party and it's an advance Father's Day Celebration for my Father-In-Law. His two daughters and their families will have a tour to Bahamas this week. Since, they will not be here in time for the celebration, they plan it in advance. We had it earlier in the house. Thank God it's already finished.

I made some research for Filipino Pork BBQ recipe and luckily, I was able to put my dish on the table. I made a chicken and shrimp skewers too. There were enough food for everybody and the party went well. Dad open his gifts and later on, challenged us to play the Wii game. He was having a grand time today and that's all that matters.

When everyone went home, he challenged me and my hubby to play the Bowling. I ended up playing with Dad alone because my hubby made an excuse and never came back. Later I found out, he took a nap. LOL! My 89 year old Dad won't stop until he can beat me. The sad thing was, I was always winning...LOL! We played more than an hour. Because of swinging, my arms are already hurting but, Dad is determined to win. He actually won three times and he finally call it quits. I was so glad...LOL!

Advance Happy Father's Day to all the Father's in the World!

2009 NBA FINALS Won By LA Lakers

Congratulations to all the fans of Kobe Bryant and LA Lakers team. Tonight is the moment of truth, LA Lakers won the 2009 NBA FINALS. The best of seven game ended at GAME 5. Obviously, since it was a 3 to 1 win in favor of LA Lakers, everyone predicted this will be the outcome. Orlando Magic scored 86 versus LA Lakers whooping score of 99. This is their 15th NBA Title. For so many years, no one beat this team yet. Thanks to their head coach Philip Douglas Jackson. Orlando Magic played well but sad to say, a no match to the skills and professionalism of La Lakers players. My team lost and it was sad. Better luck next time.

Why People Make Hurting Jokes?

I love watching shows of Bill O'Reilly, Greta's Wire, The View, Glenn Beck, Oprah, CNN, MSNBC, Fox, Morning Joe, David Letterman and etc. Though some of their views I do admire and some made me frown, I still continue watching for me to weighed the issues on both camps. We have so many issues that's like a domino effect. Everybody has opinion and everybody is correct. Where is RESPECT? Gone!

David Letterman made a joke on Sarah Palin, the Governor of Alaska who lost the recent election for Vice President. She already lost but the CRITICS kept on criticizing her. Last June 8, 2009 he made a JOKE on her and Wallahhh...including her daughter. Irregardless who is the daughter, it is still bad. But for David, it is RIGHT because Sarah Palin is a JOKE! Joy Behar of The View even said it loud "Sarah is a JOKE"! David Letterman and Joy Behar are so perfect!

"Knocked-Up" is a slang word for "Getting someone pregnant". David Letterman says HE WILL NEVER MAKE JOKES EMPLYING ABOUT SEX OR RAPE TO A 14 YEAR OLD. But it was very clear, he made mention about YANKEE's Game and the 14 year old was with Sarah Palin on that day. That is the subject of the joke! Her 18 year old Bristol was pregnant out of wedlock but, other families had these unfortunate events too. The Palin family is a family with problems too. Mocking their family with such jokes because of what happen to her 18 year old daughter is not right. Critics say it was Sarah Palin's fault because she was "parading her family" during the campaign. But, every politician does! On every big event of a politician, their family was there. So, why her family was being harassed? Critics say, she is a Joke! O'Reilly was right! The joke was in POOR TASTE!

Now, David is MOCKING her other daughter so simply. An innocent girl! Joke that is so "BASTOS". "Nambabastus sa bata na walang ginawa manood lang sa sports game kasama ng kanyang ina". Indifferent sila kay Sarah Palin kasi daw redneck, sa atin equivalent sa probinsyana." What's funny about it? Maybe, in the next few months , they will start making jokes on her Special Child baby? No big deal for others. If it was a joke for Obama's daughter, it would be in the cover page of every major magazine in the US! I just do not understand why other people make hurting jokes BELOW THE BELT! I Heard them LAUGH alright.

Palalan Elem. School Projects Update

These two pictures was sent to me yesterday by Mr. Joel, the principal of Palalan Elementary School, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. These are the proofs that the money I sent the first time was put into place. That is why, my second donation will be scheduled on the 20th of this month and that will be for the flip flops of the children in this school. There are 157 children in the school but Mr. Joel will take pictures of those children that doesn't have flip flops. I can't afford with shoes yet, so flip flops are fine.I would personally like to thank MS. ROSE B. of Cebu City for the donors. I was totally blown away for the amount that you sent especially that it comes from the Philippines. Thank you so much. I was confused now though. Is the amount for the Palalan or Agusan? I posted two Paypal Logos (edited it today) at the top right corner to avoid confusion. I will just give your donation to Palalan Elem. School on June 20th. If there are available space for mural, it goes to that okay? OR, 50 pcs of flip flops for 50 kids, sounds great ha? Oh! I am so happy. May God bless you more.
The photo above is the unfinished mural that I sponsored. The painter is a student that is why its off and on. I am already excited on the next project. Rest assured that I will post the pictures of the outcomes.

I encourage you all to support the public schools in your community back home. These are my suggestions: Backpacks, pad of papers, pencils, erasers, sharpener, crayons, umbrella and raincoat. Those would delight them.

Making A Difference

Early dawn, around 2 AM, I chatted with my friend who is already a Principal in Palalan Elementary School, Soutwest District of Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. He showed me the pictures of his school's project this month, it is a Mural Painting. This is the second school that I, in my little means shared my blessings. The other school is Agusan Elementary School, both in the same city. Well, this school is different because this is located in the hinterland. The parents to most of the 157 pupils in this baranggay are farmers in a parcel of land good for their family's survival. They painted the wall fence surrounding the school area to make it pleasant to see. That is only a minor part of making the school as a place of cleanliness and most of all for learning. This project would last at least three years until the paint will fade. So, the money I sent to support this kind of project was worth it. I do not publicized my name on the wall though. To see the pictures and the realization of the project was enough for me.
The message on the Mural was written in Filipino to show patriotism in the country. I know how hard it is for the Department of Education to supply all the demands of each school for the entire nation that is why, in my own way, I support the Principal in their cause of making a little improvements of their school premises.
Joel, the name of the principal told me how it ached him seeing children come to school without shoes....not even flipflops. So, I made a promise to do something about that at the end of this month. After the mural, children this time. I know what he said were all true because we were once assigned in the farthest school in my city where we have to walk on foot the 8 kms just to arrived the school zone. This school is better than what we have been to. Anyway, the pictures below are just few kids in first grade. As a principal, he can not impose the parents to buy uniforms because they have limited income and that is the scenario of the students in public schools. Children eager to learn without the comfort of material things. How precious is that? That is why I am so blessed that I saw the real issues of our society because I learned to be compassionate with others. It humbles me to be reminded of such event of my life and at the same time, I am aching inside. That is their classrooms at the back, at least those are concrete already and not a NIPA HUT ( made up of a coconut leaves, bamboo and wood). Yes, they come to school in this attire and would you believed it if I say, this is their best clothes already? Look at their feet, did you see a kid wearing shoes? Not one! They all wear slippers or flipflops. These are the kids TV time. It is called "SineEskwela", Department of Education project which enable the children learn something what they see on TV. The lesson was created with objectives , subject matter, motivation and it is also inter-active. It is not just TV Watching. Check the video in {here} as Lea Salonga explained it. They were outside and under the tree, having a class because during this time, there is no vacant classroom. Sad right?

(About the attire of the teacher at the left side, I have to say, this is not her usual attire when she comes to school. Teachers are compulsory to wear uniforms everyday and fully groomed. )Check this topic that I wrote in NOSTALGIC. Thank you for reading friends.

Favorite Outfit

I am a very simple person but, choosing my clothes wear is not that simple at all. I look for tops that are sexy and usually I love sleeveless. My favorite bottom outfit should be simple cut, straight cut as much as possible and most of all comfortable to wear. I am also choosy when it comes to the fabric of the clothes and I love to wear something like in the picture above. This is a Cosmo trouser product at planettogs.com and one beautiful creation of Miriam Ocariz, a designer from Spain. Conceptual art is known to be her main inspiration to all her works and no doubt, this item alone cost a fortune to tell you the truth. But, money is not an issue when it comes to finding the right suit, right? Sometimes, we have to go all the way just to satisfy our comforts especially when it comes to fashion clothing. If you love this outfit, check it out at PlanetTogs and see the wide selections of clothing collections from various designers of different countries. They offer free shipping on qualified orders and that is a saving from your pocket. This company is an international fashion e-boutique that specialized in high-end designers. They have at least 14 popular designers from all over the world included on their Website. Visit this site today start your elegant shopping at the comfort of your home.

89 Year Old Plays the Wii Sports

Wondering what he is doing? He is playing his new hobby and it's a virtual game played on his TV. The game is virtual bowling and this is his way of exercising.
I bet you know what is the famous virtual game today right? You are "IN" if you played this game. Wii Sports is a video game that is popular today. It is developed and produced by Nintendo. You need a Wii Remote controller to provide a natural and realistic feel of the sports.
This is my father-in-law in action and playing Bowling. He is 89 years old and loves this game. Wii Remote controller mimic the actions of rolling a ball down an alley or bring the left jab. He is pretty good with that.
The other games aside from Bowling that he tried are Tennis, Golf, Boxing and Baseball. His favorite though is Bowling because he will only swing his arms and he gets comfortable once he got the Strike! Tennis, Boxing and Baseball needs more movements so, he can't keep up. And besides, he gets upset if he can't score. Golf on the other hand, he loves to play but, he gets discouraged once the ball hit the water hazard and gets kicked off at stroke 14. LOL!

The Danger Of Mesothelioma

We probably heard the word Mesothelioma but, we do not know what caused it. Asbestos exposure is linked to a very dangerous form of lung cancer called Mesothelioma. If you are diagnosed with mesothelioma, you are entitled to compensation. By calling an aggressive and experienced mesothelioma attorney, it would really make a big difference. There were actually manufacturers of asbestos that had grown but have gone bankrupt over the years. If you are seeking for justice, there is a chance of fighting it than quit. You may contact a Mesothelioma Lawyer that helps with specific questions. Mesothelioma is most common to workers in the shipbuilding industry, construction, auto mechanics, contractors and demolition. There are people who work as an experienced lawyer and they can help victims to receive compensations. The manufacturers of asbestos knew the danger that is lurking ahead. The dangers before they revealed it to the public. As a result thousands of people were needlessly exposed to this dangerous substance. Asbestos occur naturally as masses of strong, flexible fibers that can be separated into thin threads and woven. Asbestos has been widely used in many industrial products, including cement, brake linings, roof shingles, flooring products, textiles, and insulation. Therefore, the danger of Mesothelioma is just lurking around the plant.

Nostalgic

photo courtesy of Rocky Monteclaro of Panoramio site

June is back to school in the Philippines. This year, the normal class started June 1 for all public schools. I was a little bit Nostalgic and at the same time relieved from all the Rush of working as a teacher. For 12 years, I have a daily routine. I live in an uptown community at the southwest of my city and my workplace is located at the East. I have to travel 40 kms everyday. The commute was so tiring and the traffic was really killing me. There were times that the shuttle driver would pick me up at five in the morning and I have to leave without breakfast. I call the driver "Manong Ben" if not for his dedication as a driver, I will be in deep trouble with my superiors. Everyday, I have to endure six rides, wakes up at 4 AM, no normal breakfast (my fault), in school up to five in the afternoon, arrived home at seven in the evening (exhausted) but I still have to write my lesson plan for the next day. Whewww! Lovelife? Set aside. UGH! LOL! Looking back, I can only smile. Was I happy? Yes! Was I tired? Of course yes!
As a teacher, the profession was rewarding. The reward is not money matters. The reward was when my 50 students can read and comprehend and when I gain the respect of the parents in the community.

June to August are crucial months for first grade teachers in public schools. The new pupils usually do not have preparatory school. Only few attended nursery and kinder. Therefore, 70% of the class have no idea of school setting, doesn't know how to read, doesn't know how to write and first time to be away from home.

Teachers usually help the children understand the rules inside the classroom. Some children would come to school crying and afraid of the new environment. And when their parents pick them up so late, they will cry too. It is up to the teacher's creative strategy how to calm a child like this. Take note, we have 50 children inside the classroom with one teacher. I know, not an ideal ratio. That is the real scenario of Public Schools in the Philippines and that is the truth.

Teaching in public schools taught me to be humble and appreciate how blessed I am as a person. I saw poverty in the eyes of my pupils. There were at least 20% who come to school with out papers and pencils and with out snacks. I share my blessings to them. By giving them a pad of paper and a pencil would mean heaven for them who have nothing.

I missed my classroom and missed my old students. I still keep in touch with my co-teachers and help the school as much as I can. But, how I wish I could help more.

The Hat Of Mickey Mouse

This is the humongous hat of Mickey Mouse, located at the heart of Disney's Hollywood Studio. This is the landmark of this particular themed park of Disney World Orlando, Florida. In Animal Kingdom, the landmark is The Tree Of Life and in Magic Kingdom, the landmark is the Cinderella's Castle.
We are about to see the live musical show of Voyage of the Little Mermaid starring Ariel and Eric. It was my favorite movie but the stage show is not as beautiful and magical as the Lion King. If you want to watch the live stage show, make a plan and use the Fast Pass. This ticket is very useful. If not, you will be exhausted with the long lines and you will miss the other shows too. Get the fast pass and come back 10 minutes before the schedule.

Scrubs Mag Is Totally Informative

I found this Website last month when I read a topic about nurses. In fact, I left a comment in one of the topic and I stayed in the site for hours. I am talking about Scrubs, the nurse's guide to good living. This is a very informative online magazine which is not only good for nurses but for everyone who is seeking information relative to health in general. They have topics about what matters with the Mind such as stress and replenishment. They also have the real inter-active stories that would give Inspiration to everyone. On Health issues, they tackle topics such nutrition, prevention and weight loss. Just visit the Website and you will be amazed how informative, issue-oriented and inspiring this online magazine is. In their news and entertainment section, their readers and some nurses share what books they read. Aside from working and having a hectic schedule in the hospital, this section of the magazine is a resource of book recommendation. Check it out yourself. One of the touching story that I just read is about the smart observation of a pediatric nurse about nurses with disabilities. She created a Website that provides nonprofit support to nurses with disabilities and you may click {Here} for the link of the topic. I am encouraging you to visit the Website and share it to your family and friends specially those who are nurses and student of nursing.

Visit Kissimmee In Florida

The red car picture shown here is the vintage car of Mayor Buddy Dyer, a notable resident of Kissimmee, politician and mayor of Orlando, Florida. I hoped to see him during this event but we arrived late so, I just took a snap shot of the vintage cars on display including his beautiful car.Mayor Buddy Dyer was named by the Orlando Sentinel as the "Most Powerful Person in Central Florida" for 2008. That is why I hoped to see him in person. There are so many celebrities who live in Kissimmee area and that includes football players Brent Fullwood, Bobby Sippio and Brett Williams; A. J. McLean from Backstreet Boys; Jonathan Summerton, a race car driver; Kissy Simmons, an actor and cast member of Lion King and so many more. When you visit Kissimmee, you might run into these famous people in Florida. I hoped that I would but, it was not my lucky day. If you are a golf enthusiast and a fan of Tiger Woods, he lives nearby Kissimmee called Windermere. This is a very expensive, exclusive and well-gated community located in Central Florida. I had the chance to visit a friend in this place for three days and I wished to see Tiger Woods playing on the golf course of that community. I am a big fan of Tiger Woods and seeing him play golf in person would surely delight my heart. How about you? Are you planning to have a vacation in Florida? Stay at Kissimmee. It is the best place to see your favorite celebrities.

Another attraction that we tried is the Liberty Square River Boat. This is located at Liberty Square which The Haunted Mansion and The Hall of Presidents are located. We took this ride because we are tired of walking, funny!

BIrds In Action

I took these pictures at Downtown Orlando. I can't help but admire them because they are so free and mingling with the people around. I tried to feed them and they are just comfortable. Have fun with the pictures.
