Cruising the Coast

There was a big activity held from October 2-11, 2009 in Mississippi Coast specifically in Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Gulfport and nearby surrounding area. It's the "highlight of family vacation" as what other participants calls it. Of course, the Southern Hospitality is a plus factor in every event here in Mississippi. Cruising the Coast is an annual event which the local establishments in the city looks forward to celebrating.

I just got out from work last Saturday and I told my husband that I need to see the car show displayed in Washington and Government Streets in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. I took some pictures as usual for all of you guys to have a glimpse of what this event is all about. I am only using my camera phone that is why the result is not that great which I am a bit frustrated. I was enjoying in taking the pictures anyhow.

Here is a man driving his vintage Ford car but added an out-house at the back. Looks funny really and he is a favorite of the crowd.

All cars on the side were participants of Cruising the Coast Annual Celebration. There were so many activities for this event, and that includes "The Lake Drag Boat Championship at Gulfport Lake, Mississippi" which happened October 2-4, 2009.
By October 05, a Long Beach Kickoff Parade was held. I just got out from work so, I was sleeping the whole day and I missed the parade, LOL. October 7, there was a Block Party held in Downtown Biloxi which the local establishments made so much money. The Hard Rock Casino had a Pool Party to welcome the participants and guests. The Glenn Parker Band had a concert at Beau Rivage Hotel and Casino. Beau Rivage offer a FREE Poolside Concert also.

There was an Automotive Swap Meet at Mississippi Coast Coliseum also. There was a Drag Racing too at Gulfport Drag Way which I find interesting.
