Waterspout

The picture below was taken right after the sightings of two waterspouts. Well, waterspout is a columnar vortex like a funnel-shaped cloud. Hubby and I were at the beach and having lunch when everyone was taking pictures on our back view. We thought they were just fascinated with the seagulls flying above us because we feed them. Well, it's not!

Waterspout occurs over a body of water and and it is a non-supercell tornado over water, It is very rare in our area. FYI: Waterspouts have life cycles too: formation of a dark spot on the water surface, spiral pattern on the water surface, formation of a spray ring, development of the visible condensation funnel, and ultimately decay. When I took this picture, it just gone swiftly!
