On Memorial Day

Today, I would like to say THANK YOU to these brave men and women who fought for FREEDOM and who die serving the country with pride and honor. This Memorial Park is located in Biloxi before the Hard Rock hotel and casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.I was watching a marathon of war movies today. I felt the sorrow and agony of the family who lost their son, father, brother and husband during battles. But, some of these service men were missing and declared dead, so sad and tragic. Bless the heart and soul of the family!
Some of these fallen heroes died in Iraq, Europe, Vietnam, Philippines and other places in the world.
Let us not forget that Memorial Day is intended for those who never came back alive. If you know someone who lost their love one during combat, approached them and say thank you. A good hug and a firm handshake would give them assurance that their family is not forgotten.

Dancing With the Stars Winner Season 12

Hines Ward is a wide receiver playing for NFL Pittsburgh Steelers, voted as MVP for Super Bowl XL, born to an African Father and a Korean Mother. He said, growing up is hard since black people doesn't like him coz his mother is Korean and white people doesn't like him too coz he is black. But, when he started playing football that turn his life to a better direction. Sports bring him to the limelight but, who would have thought he can dance? Last Monday, Kym and Hines dance a Quickstep called "Puttin' On The Ritz" which they scored 29, a Freestyle dance titled "Dancing Machine" and "I Want You Back", a perfect score by the three judges. The last performance also garnered a perfect score which is a Samba dance called "Fantasy". May 24, 2011, the voting viewers agree to the judges decision, Hines and Kym - Winner for the 12th Season of Dancing with the Stars.
Hines can dance perfectly! Being black or Asian is out of the picture! Hines is Good! When Kym had that accident during their rehearsal, he said, "he doesn't care about winning at all, he cares about Kym's safety". He was worried of her condition! With that honesty, that my friend I call....good person;-) He cried on the show, he laugh, he smile, my goodness this man can move mountains, LOL! Congratulations Hines Ward, you are an inspiration!

Hard Rock: 40th Birth Day Celebration

Hard Rock in Tampa is celebrating it's 40th birthday and with that, comes the "40-Days that Rock" theme starting May 18-June 26, 2011. This week, I saw their memorabilia featured in the news such as the skateboard of Justin Beiber and guitars of famous musicians. With that, I remembered the pictures which I took at Hard Rock Biloxi in Mississippi. Here they are: I love Hard Rock! I have been to Hard Rock Biloxi in Mississippi and I like their memorabilia display. When stars and musicians visited any Hard Rock, they usually leave a footprint such as costumes, musical instruments, and many more. The picture below is Madonna's long gown which she wore in one of her famous videos.
Hard Rock's wall decor is fantastic! It truly rocks your world especially if you are a music fanatic. The picture below is one of the slot machines when you are heading to the casino. On the right side wall, you can see the art picture display of The Beatles.

Here is showing you the front desk area when guests arrived to check in the Hard Rock Hotel. It was crowded but, I refrain from taking pictures with the guests. I respect their privacy :-)
Here is the hallway in the second floor where you can see some of the Memorabilia Display.
This area will lead to the check in counter and the casino. The big wall of glass will allow you to see the pool area and the adjacent Hotel of Beau Rivage. Both have casinos and wonderful buffets with awesome food, FYI. Anyway, when you look out that window, you can also have a nice view of the Gulf.

Oh I miss this place. Hard Rock Tampa is about 2 hours drive from where I live. Two of my friends wants to visit the place and play in the casino. I will schedule for us to visit Hard Rock Tampa to join and enjoy the 40th celebration. I will post pictures soon. Hoping you enjoy the pictures though it's blurry:-)

Barbie Dolls and Toy Cars

Back home, my niece requested another set of Barbie Doll. She specifically made mention this: no curly haired barbie:-). I asked why since both of us had wavy hair style. She said curly haired barbies are hard to fix and she requested more accessories too. Children have simple comforts to make them happy. This is hard to ignore right? :-)
My nephew and I shared the same interest------>CARS! I found this in BJ's Wholesale Club for only $15.00 for 50 pcs. It's truly a good deal! My nephew was so excited to see it on cam and he can't wait.
Well, my eldest nephew who is 10 years old loves books and Reader's Digest. I know, he is the type who loves to read Encyclopedia than coloring books, LOL. He loves to learn and I am so proud of him.

Did you know that here in the US, credit history is very relevant in every aspect of your life? May 21, 2011: End of the World

When I was in High School, I was terrified to read about the apocalypse and that the world will end soon. Almost 3 decades passed, I am still reading about the end of the world but, I am not terrified anymore. I just shrugged the news!I read about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in one of the magazines that I read. Based in the last book of the New Testament of the Bible called the Book of Revelation, is about the four beasts that ride on white, red, black, and pale horses which each symbolize Conquest, War, Famine and Death. In the Christian apocalyptic vision is that the four horsemen are to set a divine apocalypse upon the world as harbingers or forerunners of the Last Judgment.Do you think we are seeing the apocalypse at this point in time? I snagged these pictures from google showing the catasthropic event happened in Japan. Do you think the earthquake happening this year is a sign that the world will end soon?
"MAY 21st Doomsday Movement" claims that on May 21 will be the rapture day or the Judgement Day. Look around you now! Do you think the world will end on Saturday? Or the Maya's prediction perhaps is true?May 21st Doomsday Movement say that Oct.21,2011 is the end of the world! 200 million of the people will just rapture on Saturday! Do you think this world will end so soon? If you ask me? NAH! This world is too beautiful to end on Saturday! Spread love everyone! Keep praying and stay close to your love one! This world is endless when we are with our family that we love, right?

Destination Truth

I love to watch interesting movies or TV series such as Ghost Hunters, Psychic Kids and Destination Truth. My husband would classify these type as bizarre. For me, it is interesting especially Destination Truth because it is an investigative report of paranormal creatures that are said to exist only in myth and superstition. The picture below is Josh Gates, the team leader on their search for Aswang in Aklan Province in the Philippines. This is just a fun time where he tried to eat Balut, a boiled fertilized egg eaten by Filipinos.Josh Gates leads a group of fellow investigators and camera crew in his treks to various locations around the world. He investigates by interviewing witnesses, reviewing any evidence, and researching local history. Then, Gates and his team go into the field at nightfall attempting to capture first-hand evidence. The evidence gathered will be sent to independent experts, laboratories or academics in the US for further analysis. Anyway, the picture below is again a fun treat for them initiating their very first taste of balut.Destination Truth uses thermal imaging cameras, electromagnetic field monitoring\detection equipment, walkie-talkies to relay findings, backpack mounted cameras\microphone rigs, and hand held night vision systems. Their job is really fun but risky since they are doing investigative report. They probably have IT support services because they uses the latest technologies.
The picture above shows Josh and two of his companion trying to be nice to eat balut. Hey! No luck guys, they puke before they swallowed it :-). Can't eat it either and I think I can't!

Electronic Cigarette

If you are a chain-smoker, it's hard to quit instantly. The thought of puffing a cigarette must be in your system all your waking moment right? As long as you are aware of the health risks, you might check on some alternatives to save your wallet expenses and ultimately, save "YOU" too.

Check out some electronic cigarette products which are getting popular these days. There are so many kinds of electronic cigarettes, an attempt to simulate the act of tobacco smoking. This type of product is like smoking a cigarette using an electronic device. The inhaled mist has the physical sensation, appearance, with flavor and nicotine content. This type of device uses heat to vaporize a liquid solution. Mostly, it comprises a mouthpiece or a cartridge, a heating element called an atomizer, and a battery unit that houses the actual battery and electronic logic board. If you are curious about this device, check the links provided here. Take note on the health risks associated with smoking too.

Unique House

This is a unique house, don't you think? By the look of it, the building is made up of steel right? I really don't know what's the composition of this house but, I sure like it because it is so unique. It looks like the house along the beach in Mississippi. I called it round house but, this building design is really called DELTEC. According to my cousin, all the materials to make a Deltec House is custom made, ordered from the company who make this kind of building and you can chose the size too. This is actually small but, the inside has an awesome plan. After the Hurricane Katrina, most of the houses nearby the water and the Gulf Coast are built on stilts. Stilt Houses are raised over the surface of the soil primarily purpose is protection against flooding. Anyway, this building design is unique and I like it.

Saint Augustine, Florida

Yes! I am excited! On our wedding anniversary, hubby booked a hotel in Saint Augustine, Florida. I was fascinated when I googled this place because it is the headquarters for the Florida National Guard which comprises the Florida Army National Guard and the Florida Air National Guard. Below is an old map of St. Augustine which I snagged from google.Saint Augustine is known by other names such as: Ancient City or Old City. There are two main reasons why I am interested to see this place: 1. Saint Augustine was first sighted on Aug.28, 1565, the feast day of Saint Augustine of Hippo which happen to be the patron saint of Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines (my beloved hometown); 2. Saint Augustine was founded by a Spanish explorer in 1565, while my country Philippines was under Spain in 1521 and both places were mentioned in the Treaty of Paris. Spain ceded Saint Augustine to the British Rule during the Treaty of Paris in 1763 while; the Philippines was ceded by Spain to the United States for US$20 million in the 1898 Treaty of Paris.
The first thing that I will do while visiting this enchanting place is to visit the Catholic Church. The only huge contribution of Spain to my country was introducing the Catholic religion, and we remain as the only Christian nation in South East Asia up to the present and I am so grateful for that.
Anyway, I was checking an online party supply store today and bought some items which I needed for dinner gathering prior to our travel. A wedding anniversary celebration with friends, definitely a good idea.

Constipation Nightmare

I need to see a doctor about this uneasy feeling that I have right now. It seems that I have a constipation right now. I understand that Constipation has two types (1) obstructed defecation and (2) colonic slow transit. The obstructed defecation is the type of constipation which has mechanical and functional causes. The "colonic slow transit constipation" on the other hand includes the following aspects: diet, hormones, side effects of medications, and heavy metal toxicity. I am not health conscious but, I guess it's time to pay attention with my diet for a start. As far as I can stay away from, I don't take medicines but, if doctors prescribed it, why not right? It is a must to take the prescribed multi-vitamins, health supplements and antioxidants medicine such as Chlorella. Have you got the same feeling that I have? It's a little awkward to talk really right? The safest way to know what is this is to see a doctor ASAP. Don't take any medicine if it is not prescribed by the doctor too. So, the most effective treatment of constipation is to determine the cause and that can be accomplished at the hospital. See the doctor ASAP! That is what I am doing first and foremost!

What's the Significance of Osama's Death

I can't blame the AMERICANS who were dancing on the streets of Manhattan when they knew that OSAMA BIN LADEN was dead! If the family and friends of this fireman will go dancing on the streets, I rather respect! They have the right to do so!
I don't find any reason to celebrate and be jubilant of Bin Laden's DEATH. But, deep in my heart, I was in great Joy! Relieved that GOD used the Navy Seals as instrument to punished Osama bin Laden and his EVIL DOINGS by DEATH.

The DEATH of Osama bin Laden signify the VICTORY OF GOD ... that GOOD always PREVAILS! I was not sorry for Bin Laden because HE is the mastermind of Killing thousands of INNOCENT PEOPLE and globally, we are all affected! Americans, Filipinos, European, Asian, Catholics, Muslims, Jews and the list will go on and on. He did not only target the USA but targeted countries who embrace PEACE and those who believes in God Almighty. How many lives were lost because of his terrorist attack? How many children grow up without a father or a mother? How many wives and husbands who mourn the deaths of their soul mates? How many mothers and fathers who cry rivers and still at present refused to believe that their child just vanished without a single glimpse of their dead body? The 9/11 tragedy is a moment that we should never forget:How many more innocent lives will be wasted if no one will stop Osama's Evil doings? It will be thousands! His death will not bring the life of his victims. His death will not bring PEACE and probably created a strong defiance from his supporters and hundreds of terrorists globally! And whether he is alive, terrorist attack will always on the tail to PEACE LOVING COUNTRIES! But, I say it again .... GOOD always PREVAILS over EVIL! One man down and thousands more to go! Do you think the terrorist are shaking right now? NO! That is why, we should be vigilant! Terrorists are lurking everywhere because that is their JOB! All they want is chaos and bring wrath to all mankind!

So, stop being insensitive and righteous over the action of others! You should be sympathetic to the real victims....and those are the people who are dancing and jubilant on the streets! GOD BLESS US ALL!

Osama Bin Laden Is Dead

Osama bin Laden - the most wanted man of the world, dead at 54. He was the founder of the jihadist organization al-Qaeda and the mastermind of the 9/11 terror attacks in the US. He was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia by a wealthy businessman with close ties to the Saudi royal family. Despite of the abundance of good life which his family can provide him, I was puzzled why he chose the kind of life that he had. He was a millionaire with 80 Million inheritance when his father died. He could have used his millions for a good purpose but, he used it for massive distractions and mass killings all over the world.Hubby and I just arrived home and as we turned on the TV to Fox News, it was showing the White House and Gerardo Rivera on standby waiting for the President's appearance. No one really knows including Gerardo himself what's the big announcement. Anxiously, Gerardo Rivera was able to get the facts: Osama bin Laden was DEAD! He can't help himself from grinning and showing with so much happiness that finally, the man who killed his friends was dead! I bet, OBL had prepared the best life insurance quote to give for his children when he passes, don't you think? Anyway, with his death, we can only remember this moment in history (pictures below):Osama bin Laden's death will not end the terrorism. His death will turn his believers more defiant. His death will not bring back the lives of thousands who suffer an untimely death. But, his DEATH simply reminds us that: WE REMEMBER THAT PARTICULAR MOMENT:The USA is rejoicing with his DEATH, not because of "tooth for a tooth" nor because of ANGER! The Americans are JUBILANT because this is the moment in HISTORY that the GOOD triumph over EVIL! One man who is EVIL, capable of mass killing and can inflict HARMS to mankind was dead! That is the point and that GOOD prevails over EVIL!
