Samsung Stainless Steel Side by Side Refrigerator

I have known few people who do not like stainless steel appliances because hand prints are hard to clean. But, hubby and I love it. This is our new refrigerator which is a twin Cooling System that keeps the food fresh. It controls and generates cooling air for refrigerator and freezer in two separate evaporators and two fan systems with a precise electronic control. We like this fridge a lot. The reviews are positive but, few mention about the ice just jump from the ice maker. I think it is because of the digital control which is not properly set up. It has external digital display and control which shows the inside temperatures as well. It has controls for the ice and water dispenser. This refrigerator has clear view ice maker which is located directly in the freezer door. The ice maker is easier to use and doesn't take up valuable shelf space. The see-through glass also lets you check on the amount of ice available at a glance which I think is really a cool feature. It has door alarm and it will beep to remind if the door is left open. It has 2 humidity-controlled crispers; 4 tempered glass shelves; dairy compartment; freezer features drawer; and 5 glass shelves.

A Birthday Party in the Garden

My friend was searching for on line florists the other day. She will be having a 40th birthday celebration next month. She wanted to have a party in her beautiful garden and would really love to find someone local who can help her decorate her garden for her birthday party. She already has the concept but, she needed help in the selection of flowers. Of course, she has limited budget for the flowers so; she wanted to use inexpensive blooms. The flowers which are produced locally will be no problem with her as long as the decor and how these flowers will be utilized fit into the occasion.

Having someone who is expert in the decoration would really help her a lot. She wanted to make this year a memorable birthday celebration as a way of thanksgiving for a new life. She had an accident few months ago and was lucky to be alive and walk away with minor injuries. Every day is a bonus and she wanted to let everyone know that she's grateful for making each day of her life wonderful. Here is a tip that I would love to share with you. One park in one day can be really tiring to explore especially when you just come in and has no itinerary. When you want to sit down and take few minutes rest, you should make use of your time wisely... take the Liberty Square Riverboat.

You will definitely enjoy cruising on the Rivers of America. This is an authentic 3-tiered paddle wheel steamship. The best place to sit is on the third so you can see in 180 degrees view. You will love the scenic view by the river. It is only a half-mile tour of Frontierland, Liberty Square and Tom Sawyer Island. By the time the riverboat docks, you will have the energy to roam around the Magic Kingdom again.You will see an Indian village, the Haunted Mansion, the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and many more. I know you wanted to see more but, one day is not enough. It is impossible to see all the attractions in a limited time. But, make the most of it.This ride is one of my favorites when my feet are tired. Other slow rides that you should check out are the following: Walt Disney World Railroad, Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, Transit Authority People Mover, Pirates of the Caribbean, Main Street Vehicles, Jungle Cruise and more. Man, I hope you can ride all these attractions. Well, hoping you enjoy your visit to Disney and don't argue with your kids LOL.

Birth Announcements

Last December, we attended a wedding from our niece who was few months pregnant. All of us were happy about the wedding as well as excited about the arrival of a newborn baby. The youngest member of the family was about 9 years old so; it's been years since we cuddle babies in the family. When my husband checked the mail today, we received birth announcements from our niece and family back home.

My husband and I were thrilled to know that our niece delivered the baby safely and that the baby is in good health. That's what matters most right? Having a healthy infant in the family is a great blessing already. Anyway, we will be out shopping for gift ideas tomorrow. We really do not have a clue what to buy for Landon, that is his name. Once we will be in the store, we can definitely find something for the cute little infant.

What do you think is the best gift for a new born infant? We heard that it's nice to give something which the baby can use daily. A sweet slumber sound machine perhaps which is good for lullaby? We can pick up a musical mobile to help the baby sleep so soundly too. Or, a health care and infant grooming kit which the new mom can have an easy access for all the essential grooming products for the baby. A digital thermometer, nail clippers and nasal aspirator are important things to have for baby care.

The Birth Announcement card that we received brought so much joy and smile on our face. The baby is very cute in fact; he's smiling and playing with his covered hands. I can't wait to see him and hold him when we visit in few weeks. He weighs almost 8 lbs and he is a big beautiful baby.

Bamboo Tikki Bar

Our friend built a tikki bar and when we got married, we had our reception at their garden. It was the first time that the tikki bar was used and food was laid on the tikki bar counter. We had almost a hundred guests and everyone was having a good time at the garden.The Bamboo tikki bar was a great accent in the garden. Inside was a mini fridge, a sound system and pictures laminated permanently on the counter. It was nice. In our new home, we plan to buy a bamboo tikki bar and have it on our backyard as a center-piece for entertaining guests. That will be the next project.

Carhartt Dungaree

The first time I heard the word dungaree was when my 90 year old father-in-law asked my husband about the color of his dungaree (jeans). My husband was amused hearing the word dungaree because he seldom hears that term for years. His father would used the term such as "pocket book" for wallet. When he asked me if I saw his "pocket book" I thought he was reading a hardy boys LOL.

On Taking Advantage

Here we go again. This is what I don't like with workers. They asked for the exact amount even if they are off with few hours. Next time, I will give them a time sheet. When you hire people, give them a time sheet so; they will know that you are not bullshitting! People who takes advantage of the kindness of other people will not be blessed. Just ranting coz I am pissed off right now!

The Flex Belt

I can't wait to finally move in to our new home. I can use some space for my treadmill and do my work out in the garage. It's always too tight living in a condo that is why for few months I did my workout in the gym. I work out to stay healthy and I am so glad that finally, I can do my work out at home.

We all have something that we don't like with our body. I bet you are too that is why we work out to have that desired figure. Eating right can lead to a healthy lifestyle. It's true with men too because they love to flaunt their nice abs. It makes them "macho" and manly that is why they love to join fitness activities and exercise regularly.

My Little Nook

We are in the new house since Friday. Hubby and I were painting the walls and waxing the hardwood floors, installing the blinds and more. Look at my temporary little nook, LOL. When I am tired painting, I sat here and update my blog. I have my laptop and my iPad with me. The whole house smells like paint and the wax too. It didn't bother me because I am trying to keep it clean from dust. Tomorrow, the workers will start installing the cabinets. If they are done, the new appliances will be delivered by weekend. Can't wait to have this project done so; I can move on to my personal project. Say, 7-days cruising to Caribbean? Hmmm...

Planet Hollywood at Downtown Disney

Hello everyone! Just sharing some photos that I took while hubby and I went to Downtown Disney. If you visit Orlando, check out Downtown Disney and dine in at Planet Hollywood.The ambiance is really unique and you will be amazed with the decors inside. The last time we were there was very crowded because it was on a weekend. But, if you happen to experience the same and you are willing to wait for a long queue, it will be worth it.The prices are reasonable. The Final Flight of the Space Shuttle Discovery

April 17 marked as an important date in NASA. The Space Shuttle Discovery Departs for the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum.From the first shuttle launch on April 12, 1981 to the final space shuttle mission (STS-135) which was ended July 21, 2011, the space shuttle’s 30 years of mission has become part of our humanity. The space shuttles: Columbia, Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis and Endeavour spacecraft’s have carried people into orbit. It recovered and repaired satellites as well as conducted cutting-edge research. It also built the largest structure in space, the International Space Station. April 17 is a sad day for the people here in Kennedy Space Center because space shuttle is making its last flight from KSC to retire at Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum. The workers who are working on the space shuttles will also be laid off after this big event. I will be witnessing the takeoff tomorrow … and anguish of the life situation of the affected families and affected business establishments. May God bless them.

Last Day of Tax Filing for 2011

Today is Emancipation Day and a holiday in Washington. April 15 fall on a Sunday so; the last day of filing for tax is moved to April 17. I am not proud to acknowledge that I am a procrastinator myself. I bought the software since January and has helped friends prepare their tax but, not ours. I was so busy with the house renovation and keep procrastinating the tax preparation. I should do it today though! How about you?

Spring Break at Cocoa Beach

How are you today? Did you went out partying for Friday the 13th? Just to unwind right? That's alright as long as you had a good time and stay out of trouble. I have been away from my work area for a week and I need to work harder today.We bought a house in Cocoa and we will move here for good. I kind'a like this location better than Orlando because the traffic is smooth, the beach is near, the river is awesome and so many laid-back activities which my hubby and I will surely enjoy.Look at Cocoa Beach, just an awesome place to hang out in the afternoon or at sunrise.We went to Cocoa Pier but since it's spring break, finding a parking space is impossible. We drove few blocks away and these photos were taken from there.Cocoa Beach is known for shark attack because it is an open water facing the Atlantic Ocean. That's the Pier shown on the picture above. The whole beach was occupied with students who are having a spring break, families and tourists as well. We can tell if they are tourists and they came from the Cruise Terminal at Port Canaveral LOL.This is a busy road that goes to Cocoa Beach and Cruise Ship Terminal (Port Canaveral). When we live in Orlando, we travel once to thrice a week to dine at the restaurants in the area. It's about 40 minutes away but, it's worth it. Divine Mercy Catholic Church

This is Divine Mercy Catholic Church located in 1940 North Courtenay Parkway in Merritt Island, Florida which is less than 8 miles away from our place. The humble beginnings of this church can be traced back in 1964 with Fr. Sean P. Molloy as the first pastor when the Divine Mercy Catholic Church became a recognized parish.The church started at the “Barn Theater” while the Divine Mercy School started at the warehouse at Merritt Island Airport with 185 students. This church was constructed in 1975.The picture above is the Dome or the social hall. Divine Mercy property has the parish administration building, Mercy Center, rectory, and school library. They also have a computer lab, science lab and conference room.On Sundays, Divine Mercy Catholic Church has three masses but on weekdays, they have one scheduled mass.They have variations of activities for the parishioners. I am just happy because I saw two big churches nearby our new home. I will definitely volunteer some of my free time maybe, in the choir perhaps. Let's Go Swimming

We wanted to buy a house with a swimming pool but, we are not lucky to own one. We have a pool in one of our condos. Few days ago, our community pool was renovated so, there will be no swimming for few days. It is so muggy here in Orlando and I can't wait to move to Cocoa any time soon. It is so breezy out there! For the last 4 days, we went to our new home to paint, and meet the AC guy. We turn on the cable, water and electric, all three accounts are all under my name but of course, hubby pays them all.

Our new house has no pool but, it's alright. We would love to have one but, maybe in the near future, we can build a pool in our backyard. The picture above was taken here in Orlando. Our friend uses the pool once in a blue moon. I love swimming in the evening though. But for now, we are happy with our house even without the pool.

Property in Cocoa

All papers were submitted and right now, we are just waiting for the closing date and turn over of the key. This house is one of the properties that we bid but, the seller made a counter offer and we walk away. Our decision of walking away with the deal was right because the place that we bought this month is way better and near in Orlando area. A lot bigger too and we love the neighborhood.

This house has a lot of charm since it was built in 1965. There is a need of some TLC, just cosmetic ( paint, sanding, landscaping ) and nothing major. But, we already contacted painters and decorators, my friend can do the latter though. We bought new appliances already. Boy, it was so good to shop for a stainless steel appliances.

We have no job as back up for loans so; we bought this property on a cash basis. After this major project, I am ready to go back to work. Bank is drained for good you know.

We love the neighborhood here and did you know that Kennedy Space Center is just across the river? I wish NASA could go back to it's lively business so; I could see up close during rocket lift off. Fort Canaveral, the cruise ships terminal is just 20 minutes away. As a matter of fact, we went there today and had lunch at Rusty's Seafood Restaurant. Love that area.

Spring Blooms

Here are blooms that we once have in our garden in Mississippi. I am pretty sure that I will be having more of gardening activities when we move to our new home this month.

I love to have a flower garden and a vegetable garden as well. We have plenty of rooms to create a garden and landscape the yard.

I can't wait to take out my garden tools back. It is spring time, a good season to make the yard have some trimming.

I will definitely create some flower beds at the front yard and would create one area at the backyard for my vegetable garden.

On our new home, there was 2 bougainvilleas thriving on the side area of the garage but, not as big as this one.

The tulips, it was already in bloom when my father-in-law bought it at Walmart. It died by winter time but, on the next year surprisingly, it thrive and tulips bloom.
